Lucy joined the Womankind team in 2023
Lucy came to physiotherapy after her career as a classical ballet dancer, having trained at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School and the Australian Conservatoire of Ballet. During this time she gained valuable experience in optimisation of physical performance, observation of the human form and biomechanics of movement at an elite athletic level. Lucy also used the Pilates method throughout her ballet career to enhance her performance and has continued to practice Pilates on the mat and reformer ever since.
She began her physiotherapy career in the area of Clinical Pilates and has extensive professional experience in this area. Lucy then continued to build her clinical experience in a broad range of areas including Musculoskeletal and Dance physiotherapy in the private sector as well as Community Rehabilitation and Specialist Aged Care assessment in the Public Health system.
After the birth of her son Freddy, Lucy then specialised in the area of Women’s Health physiotherapy and has since relished the opportunity to support women through the transformative experience of pregnancy, birth and new motherhood.
Out of the clinic Lucy is an active mum who enjoys bush walks, getting her hands dirty in the garden with her son and a good cuppa tea.
