Lauren has been a member of the Womankind Team since 2020. After spending several years working in musculoskeletal rehabilitation, Lauren decided to follow her passion and delve into the world of pelvic health. She has spent time working with women both in hospital settings and in private practice. Lauren has also spent time working alongside obstetrician and gynaecologist Dr Jason Chew.
One thing Lauren loves about working in pelvic health is the opportunity to empower women to take a proactive approach to their health and wellbeing, educating them on all things pelvic floor. Lauren also strongly believes in taking a patient centred approach to her clinical work, with the patients’ values and goals and the centre of their treatment plan. Lauren feels very privileged to be assisting people through
what are often some of their biggest life moments. The area of pelvic health physiotherapy is expanding and developing at a great rate, and Lauren thoroughly enjoys engaging in ongoing professional development and keeping up with the latest research evidence.
Lauren is an avid netballer, competing in both women’s and mixed competitions. She enjoys resistance training in her spare time and heading down the coast or up into the high country for some waterskiing with her husband and fur baby “Otis”.
