Womankind Power (45mins) Our High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) class. Incorporating weights and equipment to challenge your strength and stamina. Perfect for those women wanting to push themselves and get lost in the focus of a hard, but time limited workout. All classes include a dedicated component of core stability training and we know the importance of working from the 'inside out' for technique and injury prevention. All workouts are specifically designed to be pelvic floor safe and therefore accommodate women with pelvic floor dysfunction. Pre-assessment is recommended but not required to join this class.
Fit Mama: Pre and post natal strength and fitness (60mins) Pregnancy is a marathon test for a woman’s body. Your ligaments are softer, your pelvis is supporting a growing weight, and your core muscles are being gradually elongated. In the early months post-partum, the focus is on respecting your body’s healing time frame, building upper body strength for feeding and carrying, and re-engaging with your abdominals and pelvic floor. Our pre and post natal strength and fitness class will raise your heart rate without undue force on sensitive structures, strengthen core muscle groups and finish with a much needed stretch. Dedicate 60 mins to your body and mind in this inclusive class. Babies and kids are welcome.
Strong and Stable (60mins) Get ready to feel your core muscles awaken with this class designed for women of all ages who want to get stronger from the inside out. Technique is key as you learn to move well, achieving optimal biomechanics and muscle activation patterns for balanced posture and movement. Focus is on strength and toning the deep abdominals, pelvic floor, glutes and back. Use resistance bands, pilates equipment and free weights. Expect to work up a sweat and finish with a full body stretch. Babies and kids are welcome to some of these sessions. Please see timetable for details.
Yoga (60mins) Supporting women through every stage of life, yoga is the antidote to everything. Find your mat space and ease away the stressors of your day, find a new stretch, flow through postures and calm your headspace. Vinyasa and Hatha explore yoga postures through flowing movement. Open to all our pregnant mama's as well, we encourage you to continue through pregnancy and to meet back on the mat postpartum once you are able.
Bones, Bladder and Balance Our class for women at least 60 years young, who are motivated to stay active and strong. Led by a Womankind women's health physiotherapist, this class will keep your heart rate lifted through a combination of low impact cardio, free weights and resistance equipment. Challenge your core and build on your balance with music to keep moving and smiling.
